Formed in 1942, the Division was initially stationed
in France, and subsequently transferred to the Eastern
Front. In 1944 it fought in actions to relieve 1-SS
Panzer Army at Tarnopol as part of the 11-SS Pz. Corps.
Transferred once again to the West, it fought (and was
virtually destroyed) in the Normandy Campaign. Reformed
in Holland it fought at Arnhem and the Ardennes as part
of the 6-SS Panzer Army/1-SS Panzer Corps. It then
Transferred to Hungary for the final battles of WWII.
This scarce, comprehensive volume includes Orders of
battle, Organisational Tables, hundreds of photographs of
the Division in action, plus numerous campaign maps.
