Written by Hubert Meyer, the former chief of staff of
the division, this book covers all aspects of
Hitlerjugend's history. Formed from the 'best of German
youth' after the debacle of Stalingrad, and commanded by
specially selected officers and NCOs, it was deployed to
Normandy where it was decimated. Re-formed, it fought in
the Ardennes and later transferred to the east where it
took part in the final battles of WWII in Hungary and on
the German and Austrian borders.
