Boulton and Paul entered the aircraft industry during
the First World War, building the FE.2 pusher biplane.
They did pioneering work in the twenties and thirties
(including structural work on the ill-fated R.101
airship), but they are best known for the ground
breaking Defiant, turret armed fighter of WWII. This
scarce Putnam volume details the aircraft types built
and developed by Boulton Paul, including proposed
designs as well as experimental types.
