The story of the 6th Airborne Division in Palestine,
1945-1948. Being a major element of the British Security
Force they were faced with the unenviable task of
maintaining law & order in the face of a hostile
community, whilst limiting Jewish/Arab violence. There
were many attrocities during the Mandate period, the
most notable being the destruction of the King David
Hotel
