NAPOLEON'S CONQUEST OF EUROPE:
THE WAR OF THE THIRD COALITION
by Frederick C Schneid
Poised to strike at England in the summer of 1805, Napoleon found
himself facing a coalition of European powers determined to limit
his territorial ambitions. Still, in less than one hundred days,
his forces marched from the English Channel to Central Europe,
crushing the armies of Austria and Russia. Schneid approaches the
campaign from a broad diplomatic, economic, and military
perspective, including not only the French perspective, but the
points of view of the other powers involved.
HANNIBAL'S LAST BATTLE: ZAMA AND THE FALL OF
CARTHAGE
by
Brian Todd Carey
In 202 BC At Zama in what is now Tunisia, the armies of two
empires clashed. The Romans under Scipio Africanus won a bloody,
decisive victory over Hannibal's Carthaginians. Scipio's victory
signalled a shift in the balance of power in the ancient world. This
compelling reconstruction of the battle, and of the gruelling war
that led up to it, gives a fascinating insight into the Carthaginian
and Roman methods of waging war, and offers a critical assessment of
the contrasting qualities and leadership styles of Hannibal and
Scipio, the two most celebrated commanders of their age.
The incredible story
of Soviet soldiers in Hitler's armies. The Osttruppen were Russian
Volunteers who served in the German Armed Forces in WWII, not only
in the East but in occupied France and the Low Countries. After
WWII most were sent back to the Soviet Union where they were
either executed or, more often, exiled to the Gulags in Siberia
where they were, quite literally, worked to death. This is the
revised and expanded 2nd edition in hardcover.

Hptm Oswald Boelcke who was Manfred von Richtofen's mentor. By
August 1916, the German Air Service was fighting a losing struggle
in the skies over the Somme. In response, an entirely new type of
fighting formation came into being -the Jagdstaffel, a unit
designed solely as a fighting squadron. One of the most famous was
Jasta 2, formed and led by Boelcke, Germany's premiere fighter
ace. This title examines the tactics, personalities and
achievements of thesquadron which finished the war with an immense

The submarine shelters built by the German Reich were amongst
the largest building projects in the history of construction. Due
to the pace of weapons development in the Second World War,
particularly in the field of precision bombing, it was necessary
to construct huge shelters to protect the Kriegsmarine’s U-Boat
fleet. The massive strength of these bomb-proof structures made
them relatively safe from the effects of allied aerial
bombardment. Indeed they resisted many attempts to destroy them,
even after the end of the war. This new book is packed with
photographs, plans and illustrations of the huge submarine pens in
Hamburg.
