| CLIVE: THE LIFE AND DEATH OF A BRITISH EMPEROR by Robert Harvey The life of Clive of India, the founder of Britain's Indian empire. Clive was also Britain's first great guerilla fighter at the age of 27, by the age of 31 he had conquered Bengal. He was awarded the title Baron of Plassy. In his later life Parliament brought him under painful scrutiny particularly regarding the sources of his wealth. He died in mysterious circumstances just before his 50th birthday.
