Fighting alongside Kolchak and Kappel as the White army captured Omsk and Ekaterinburg only to fail as the Czechs, who had provided valuable support halved the White armies forces,returned to their own country at the end of World War one. Routed, Kolchak fell at Omsk and Kappel and 30,000 men fled in the Great Siberian Ice march. With Kappels death command fell to Dietrich who maintained a low-key armed conflict aided by Japanese intervention forces until they were evacuated by the last White Fleet under the elderly Admiral Stark in October 1922.
