MILITARY BLUNDERS: THE HOW AND WHY OF MILITARY FAILURES
by Saul David

Written by professional military historian Saul David this book vividly describes some of the worst blunders and analyses the factors to show why they happened. Among the many subjects covered are Commanders who from incompetence, inexperience or plain incapacity brought disaster on their men. Fiascos caused by meddling politicians. Catastrophes brought about by a fatal underestimation of the enemy, whether MacArthur at the Yalu River or the French at Dien Bien Phu.

THE NUREMBERG FALLACY
by Eugene Davidson

The shortcomings of the Nuremberg "rules of war" and the War Crimes Tribunal's "impossible" expectations. The Tribunal declared all aggressive war, war crimes, and crimes against humanity, illegal. The period since WWII has witnessed many armed conflicts. Recent crises such as Bosnia, Rwanda, the Middle East, Serbia and Yugoslavia make it clear that the issues explored in the book are as relevant today as they were when the book was first published.
